App In a Day

App in a Day is an intensive workshop that takes a small group of attendees through the process of building a no-code app with an accompanying no-code process automation, and creating a solution to a business or team problem that can be deployed at the end of the event. While the workshop can be hosted remotely, we advise participants to attend in person for more efficient assistance throughout the process.

We offer two modalities:

1. Team-focused events: a team from a single business unit comes together to develop a solution for their business operations. All participants collaborate to create the final product. This kind of workshop can be requested at your convenience.
2. Open events: these events are open to faculty and staff. They are held twice a year, once each fall and spring semester. During these workshops, a no-code app and companion no-code process automation are developed in a single day.  All participants develop the same solution. The instructor will survey registrants to tailor the built app and automation to their interests.

All App in a Day workshops last a full day. Participants will benefit the most if they have a good working understanding of Excel formulas and functions, as well as a basic understanding of data tables.
